Our New Puppy

We have officially lost our minds.  We got a new puppy the week before Christmas.  Her name is Bella.  AKA Pooh Bear.  Before she got her little schnauzer cut, she looked just like a little black bear.  Not to go into gory details, she had a poo problem also.  So the nickname is fitting.  The second day we had her she had to go to the vets.  We would have taken her in for a well puppy check-up, but she was ill.  She was malnourished and dehydrated.  We got her from a family whom I thought we could have trusted, but she was not taken care of well.  We had a deposit on her and the young man still let her health deteriorate.  We have an awesome vet and she put her on fluids and antibiotics. Three hundred dollars later... She's doing great!  She still has a little bit of a digestion issue, but is doing well and gaining weight.  (Thus the name Pooh Bear)  The name Bella is very fitting also.  Yes, I am a Twilight freak.  I love the books, the movies were OK.  Many more pics. to come.

New Year New Budget

My blogging would get a great be failure if I were grading myself.  Each year I get a new budget.  My budget hasn't been cut, but everything is more costly.  I found the coolest product.  It allows any worksheet, graph, or printed material to become a dry erase board in less than five seconds.  Insert the material and walah, you have a instant practice page.  It will really cut down on multiple copies.  I can't wait to try it and I'll let you know what I think.  The dry erase folder come with pens and erasers.  Too cool.  I'm purchasing from Nasco Math.

There are several books for the folders also.  I'm going to give the above one a try.

Groovy Classroom

I'm using my favorite 60's-70's theme for my classroom this year again. I have many new ideas including these really darling paper plate creations. Can't you just see them in psychedelic colors?
I found them on One Pretty Thing and then linked to the directions. Creative Jewish Mom
makes some really great things. I'm really enjoying her site.

A Little Brown Adds Interest

I've had these prints for years. I loved the weathered look of the frames, but then I bought this print for the bathroom.

I really like the fresh modern look of the brown. So I decided to mix things up a bit. No white, no cream, no black. Shocking I know. LOL.

Isn't that an attractive picture?
Out came the spray paint by Rustoleem. I really enjoy the fresh look of everything. It pops against the beadboard in my cottage bathroom.

I had to take a close up of this storeage solution. I bought them at QVC about ten years ago and I love them! They can hang horizontal or vertical. Please tell me what you think of the changes. I little paint make everything seem new again.
